The Tatitlek Corporation Teams Up with Ride 2 Recovery for an Alaska Bike Ride Event

Event will benefit 25 veteran servicemen and women

ANCHORAGE, AK, March 20, 2013 – The Alaska Native Village Corporation, The Tatitlek Corporation, has announced its collaboration with the  non-profit group, Ride 2 Recovery, designed to bring 25 veteran servicemen and women to Anchorage to participate in a mountain bike event running June 24-28, 2013.

Participation in this Alaska-based event will allow these veterans to experience a sense of normalcy, accomplishment, pride, camaraderie and relief from depression and other issues that accompany recovery and rehabilitation.

R2R is an organization created by the Fitness Challenge Foundation in partnership with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office, which seeks to benefit mental and physical rehabilitation programs for injured veterans and features cycling as the core activity. Funds raised by R2R support cycling programs at military and VA locations around the United States as well as support for equipment needed by the wounded servicemen and women participating in the event.
