Lisa Murkowski Visits Tatitlek Village

The Tatitlek Community, the Tatitlek Corporation and Chugach Alaska Corporation had the pleasure of hosting a visit from Lisa Murkowski (R-AK). We were able to give her a first hand look at some of the greatest needs of our Village, including transportation, housing and educational needs.

Lands and Waterways: 2022 Tatitlek Lands Tour

The TTC Board hosted a Lands Tour and invited our interns and young professionals. They had the opportunity to share the importance of TTC’s mission to be good land stewards and to preserve our traditional knowledge. They were able to view Heather Island, Ellamar, Galena Bay and Tatitlek.

2022 Cultural Heritage Week Planning

The pandemic threw a wrench in our cultural gatherings. We recall watching the news closely in February and March 2020 and making the gut-wrenching call to cancel our 2020 event. In 2021, we were able to have a mini gathering for local students. We’ve also been able to create online virtual traditional arts classes that continue today. Still, with the changes, we do miss our CHW family.

Team

Angela Totemoff is currently the Director of Shareholder Services and the President of the Copper Mountain Foundation. She has worked for The Tatitlek Corporation in several capacities, beginning as a participant in the Shareholder Management Development Program in 2011, then as a Contracts Administrator in 2013. In the past she worked for the Chenega Corporation as a Risk Management Specialist and a Management Intern while she was attending college.

She has received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Information and Communication Technology from Alaska Pacific University, and a master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Angela Totemoff
Director of Shareholder Services

Currently based out of The Tatitlek Corporation’s office in Anchorage, AK, Rami works as Tribal Administration Manager. Most recently, she held a part-time role as Shareholder Relations Coordinator and Tribal Administrator, working closely with the Tatitlek Village IRA Council to bridge connections and align goals for TTC and the IRA Council to support the Tatitlek Village community.

Her work history includes several years on the TTC Information Technology Helpdesk Support team and Chugach Alaska Corporation’s Shareholder Services team as Cultural Resources Apprentice. She is a Copper Mountain Foundation recipient and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems and Associates of Applied Science in Computer Science from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She will be pursuing a certificate in Bookkeeping from Wayland Baptist University in the fall of 2022.

Rami Paulsen
Tribal Administration Manager

Hayley Brink joined the Shareholder Services team in 2019. Her current duties include providing for frontline shareholder needs such as record coordination, dividend updates and estate settlements in addition to administrative duties and direct support of the Director of Shareholder Services, Angela Totemoff. Notably she also oversees the scholarship award process via Copper Mountain Foundation and coordinates events such as the annual shareholders’ meeting.

Hayley is a Copper Mountain Foundation scholarship recipient and attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage in pursuit of a degree in Business Administration. She grew up in Ouzinkie, AK and is grateful to assist shareholders and gain knowledge of her culture in this role.
