We are very excited and proud to announce the re-development of the basketball court in Tatitlek. The 2020 Basketball Court Project was a collaborative effort between TTC and the Tatitlek Community. The original basketball court stood on the old school grounds in Tatitlek, as seen below in a photo taken in 1978. The Tatitlek School which was relocated in 1984, had its own indoor basketball court. After years of wear and tear, the old court was eventually removed.
In June 2020, Roy Totemoff and Dean Clowers led a small team of Tatitlek employees and local hires to restore the court near the original location. Thanks to the team – Garrison Buretta, Jarrell Eastman, Dylan Geffe, and Marvin Vlasoff, they were able to complete the project in July 2020. Hopefully the new court will be enjoyed by community members for years to come.
Community Painting Project
In addition to the Basketball Court Project, the crew also painted five residential homes, adding a splash of color to the community. The Kelly House employees, Gwen Vlasoff and Anna Gregorieff were joined by George Vlasoff, Benjamin Kompkoff and Lydia Robart to paint the Kelly House, as well.
